Good one!

This is very detailed report on the overall picture of GTM. I have understood that why people are landing jobs after mastering clay and there're bootcamps to become "clay operator". Few things which I understood:

1- The bigger picture is to create a system through which company can get more "REVENUE" either acquiring new customers or via existing ones. Then either its strategy or tools are secondary. There's no use of this role if someone is not able to "add" revenue. Do you have the similar understanding?

2- Maja, I've consumed a lot of your content. It seems to me you're focusing more than just bunch of tools and automations and then you go even beyond a layer of system building. Your approach is so good that it confuses me, should it start with product building or afterwards but more votes goes towards starting GTM as soon as product starts building as there's a lot of product management comes in. Isn't it?

3- The gap I see is you don't focus on cookie cutter approach like do these steps and you've built outbound automation, perhaps these are intentional as you're focusing on the business as a whole particularly "product" and "marketing & sales" which is 80% of any business.

4- The question is, can we build products or services using your approach? Have you done it or any use case? Additionally, I've seen you do in your "Power Hours" and thanks for your "AI powered checklist" which is so detailed that it covers whole product lifespans from startup to company.

Thank you so much for this article and putting in the work!

Ervin, thanks so much for your lovely message! Totally made my day. I am flattered that someone of your caliber finds value in what I share.

1. You are 200% right with systems - a write-up on that coming up soon - we should not be running around hiring GTMEs and buying new shiny tools just because of FOMO. Strategy first, always.

2. There is another component that is important here - the right time to go public with it- I am currently "hiding 3 projects" because I just don't see an upside in sharing them. That does not mean I build in isolation, but I am revealing information in a controlled environment to a purposefully selected group of people. While I absolutely think that GTM should start as soon as possible in most cases, at least at a strategy level. Timing is everything when it comes to public announcements. There is no clear rule for when to build in stealth/building in public; everyone has to weigh the pros and cons of each approach and choose the right timing to go public.

3. Could run even deeper - infrastructure and defensability of moats, but in principle, you are right.

4. aaa- I see what you did there :))) I am neither your business partner nor your family member. No one can tell you what to do, but I can highlight that my work inspires new product and service ventures. I love staying in touch with entrepreneurs and VCs who use my methods for venture building to get inspiration for new content and a feedback loop on what needs improvement.

Thank you so much for following my content and supporting my work <3

Good luck with your ventures & cannot wait for your updates soon

ah, you're so humble and kind that you replied within hours despite being so busy in your projects. This means a lot to me, thank you!

In the first line of 2nd point you have given the whole idea and your approach which confirms that to have PMF you need to engage with customers before even building the full product as we don't want something that customer doesn't want.

4. I have read your book and your AI checklist plus watched Power Hours and I put the data available publicaly and the stuff I purchased in the NotebookLLM along with Jordan Crawford, I got foundational elements, additonal ones, playbook and much more lol and sorry to do this. This is where I got your consistent step-wise framework which is super good and implementing it alone is worth millions in revenue if done right.

one last point, thank you for being in this space as people like you make way for the younger ones. You're true inspiration, have a great day! I'll keep you posted with the impact of your knowledge on me and my business.
