What would be the difference between a beachhead segment and an early customer profile?

Great question. Segment > Profile. When you do segmentation, you select groups of companies that share a similar characteristic (I recommend jobs to be done for segmentation). After you do segmentation, you refine your selection with an archetype (profile) representing this segment, aka persona, for easier understanding and communication.
